BLAIR BAGS $5,000 ON FINAL NIGHT OF MCKEAN COUNTY RACEWAY FALL CLASSIC

E. SMETHPORT, PA….Max Blair swept the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Super Late Model action at the Nittany Minitmart Fall Classic at McKean County Raceway by winning Saturday’s Priority Care Race Fan feature in dominant fashion.  Blair took the lead from the pole and pulled away, leaving Wyatt Scott and Mike Lupher to battle for second in the first half of the event.  Ryan Montgomery started to move forward in the second half of the event and started putting pressure on Scott.  Two contenders dropped out in the late stages of the race when Greg Oakes fell out on lap 26 and Scott also had misfortune, dropping out on lap 33.  Blair was able to holld off Montgomery on the final restart to take the win, with Dutch Davies in third, followed by Deshaun Gingerich and Damian Bidwell.
Blair had misfotune stike on the opening lap of the RUSH Crate Late Model event when he got caught in a 9-car tangle that knocked he and Paul Grigsby out of the event, among others.  John Waters took the lead on the restart, but Steve Dixon grabbed it on lap 4.  Six laps later, distaster struck when Dixon tangled with a lapped car in a crash that also eliminated John Waters and Dusty Waters.  That gave the lead to Bryce Davis, who avoided the incident, and Davis brought home the win over Andy Michael, who made a last lap pass on Steve LaBarron for second.  DJ Krug and Draven Kuzminski.
The UMP Modifieds made their first ever appearance at McKean County Raceway and in their feature event, Mike Potosky was the early leader, only to surrender the top spot to Brian Ruhlman.  Dave Hess diced hard with Ruhlman and was able to take the lead on lap 8 and motor away for the feature win.  Potposky dropped out in the later stages, moving Joel Waston into third after a race long battle with Brent Rherbergen and Chris Peterson, who took fourth and fifth.
The RUSH Pro Mod feature was led wire to wire by Adam Ashcroft, who had to battle through traffic for two thirds of the event while holding off veteran Al Brewer.  Steve Dixon put on a charge through the field, and when the checkers fell, Brewer held second while Dixon was close behind in the third spot.  Richard Hemphill and CJ Irons rounded out the top five.
The Adnrew’s Auto Salvage Mini Stock feature saw Adam DelGrosso hold the top spot until lap 7, when Andrew Kreamer passed him for the lead.  Andy Schumaker charged through the field from mid-pack and moved into the third spot behind Holden Heineman as DelGrosso faded back a bit.  Schumaker got second from Heineman with a few laps left, but could not catch Kreamer, and Hinemean’s race ended with a spin in turn two on the last lap.  Folowing the race, Kreamer was disqualified for a rule violation and the win was awarded to Schumaker.  DelGrosso, Kurt Babcock, DJ Williams, and Wesley Houghtaling were the rest of the top five.
McKean County Raceway extends its thanks to all of the competitors, officials, and fans for a great 2021 season, and planning now gets underway for the 2022 season.  For more information, visit www.mckeancounty-raceway.com .
