Commitment to all things motorsports has Lucas Oil returning for 11th consecutive season

THOROLD, ONTARIO- February 19, 2016- Merrittville Speedway officially launched the countdown to the start of it’s 65th Anniversary Season February 18th – 65 days away from the Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Spring Sizzler April 23rd. 2016 welcomes Lucas Oil as the presenter of Weekly Racing Series Events for the 11th consecutive season.
“At Lucas Oil – we are committed to all things motorsports,” said Lucas Oil Canada’s Matt Irvine, “we are honored to be a part of this celebration of Canadian Motorsport and recognizing the rich history 65 years of Saturday Night Dirt Track Racing at it’s best.”
Lucas Oil Products were introduced to Canada in 1996 after a 1989 start up in the US and since 2006 has flourished – gaining increasing exposure in the marketplace through its racing involvement while growing its product assortment and availability.

In each and every event in 2016 – Race Fans entering the Grandstands can learn more about Lucas Oil Products and fill out a ballot for a chance to win a prize pack of various Lucas Oil products.

Lucas Oil will present the final Saturday Night of 2016 – September 10th as hosts along with VP Race Fuels of the Canadian Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Night and the TUSA Canadian Modified Lite Championship Weekend Finale. Also on the card – the Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series and a combined Duel on the Dirt 50 lap event for the Hoosier Stocks.
Unless specified, each Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Event during the 65th Anniversary Season will feature the Pinty’s 358 Modifieds, Yager Bros Trucking Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports and the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders.
Lucas Oil’s involvement at Merrittville in 2016 also includes the 23rd Season of Tuesday Night Kart Racing as well.
