LATE MODELS IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FOR FIRECRACKER 40, JULY 7TH

T.P.TRAILERS NASCAR 358 MODIFIEDS AND SPORTSMAN ALSO PART OF TRIPLEHEADER

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 27, 2018 . . . The biggest event of the season is coming up for the Late Model stock cars at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, July 7th when the annual Firecracker 40 takes place.

With $1,200 offered to the winner, based on an 18 car field of entries, $800 for second and $500 for third along with $200 just to take the green in the feature the race is attracting a lot of attention. And if the winner meets all the requirements there is cash and award bonuses from T.P. Trailers and VP Racing Fuels.

To make it easier for visitors to come challenge the regulars on the banked one-third-mile clay oval NASCAR crew and driver temporary licenses will be available for just $25 and they will be good for 3 weeks.

Visiting Late Model racers will be able to compete on the tires they normally use but will be required to use an American Racer (Grandview stamped) right rear tire for the 40-lap main event.

The format for the Late Model portion of the tripleheader night of racing excitement will have racers run practice hot laps, timed hot laps and the fastest eight will redraw for the 40-lap feature race. However if the car count is 24 or more then there will be qualifying through eight lap heat races with 24 cars starting the Firecracker 40.

Should the number of entries not reach 18, the purse will be adjusted.

Joining the Late Models as part of the Firecracker tripleheader will be the very popular T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds along with the exciting Sportsman racers.

Adult admission for this special night of racing will be $20 while youngsters 6 through 11 pay just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted FREE. Active military, with proper ID, are admitted free. And there is free parking on the speedway grounds.
