_dsc0799Weedsport NY.-September 12, 2016- This Saturday, September 17th will mark the third and final Super DIRTcar Series event stop in 2016 at the famed 3/8 mile in Weedsport, NY.  As previous 2016 Weedsport winners Gary Tomkins and Matt Sheppard hope for a second triumph, it will take 100 laps for the best dirt modified drivers in the country to determine who will be “King of the Hill”.

“The last two races at Weedsport have been excellent events for us. The track on Labor Day was great, and we are looking forward to returning one more time in 2016” stated series director Mike Perrotte. Along with a check for $10,000 to the winner of the “King of the Hill 100”, the event will pay $500 to take the green as well as a $1,000 dollar to win non-qualifiers event.  Joining the big blocks will be the first of two NAPA Sportsman Shootout Series events of the weekend.

On Sunday, September 18th, the NAPA Sportsman Shootout Series competitors will take center stage for the 50 lap “Sportsman Shootout Series Championship” presented by St. Lawrence Radiology. An amazingly tight points battle among several drivers has helped build the anticipation for this series finale. With only 5 points separating the top 4 drivers in series standings, the championship is certain to be a nail biter. The Go Nuclear Late Model Series as well as the NY6A 600 CC Micro Sprints also share in the Sunday line up.
