Best of Show Award Doubled to $500 Each, Bonuses Now Total Nearly $4,000

365Mechanicsburg Pa.- September 15, 2016-  Now just under three weeks away, the Williams Grove Speedway Champion Racing Oil National Open is set for September 29, 30 and October 1 and another bonus award has now been added to the special awards previously announced.

Previous bonuses introduced have been for National Open Rookie of the Race and Best of Show but now a Just Missed Award will be handed out as well for the prestigious event sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

The Just Missed Award will grant a minimum of $750 to the highest finishing driver in the Saturday Last Chance Showdown that does not earn a provisional to start the A Main.

Dirt Track Digest and Camp Mayhem are sponsoring this most recently announced National Open award.

Sponsored by The Beer Hill Gang, the Rookie of the Race Award is a minimum $2,000 bonus that will be paid out to the highest finishing rookie in the National Open finale on Saturday, excluding provisional starters.

338A National Open Best Appearing Car award will also be handed out on Saturday courtesy of KRS Graphics, BMJ Services and Miller’s Racing Parts and the amount of the award has now been doubled.

As part of the “Best Of Show” award, $500 each will ge given to both the car’s driver and graphic designer along with a pair of Hoosier tires, trophies and mock checks.

The 54th annual National Open weekend is the climax of the season at Williams Grove Speedway.

The three-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series program offers a pair of 25-lap, $10,000 to win mains on both Thursday and Friday before the big 40-lap event paying 50K to win on Saturday.
