_MG_0355-X2Abbottstown Pa.- June 7 ,2016- Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA the spotlight shines bright on the vaunted Pennsylvania Posse, as a stout field of drivers is expected to be on hand for the Dirt Classic Showcase presented by Leffler Energy with some serious money on the line, as well as a coveted Golden Ticket into the $20,000-to-win $1,000-to-start Dirt Classic coming later this year.

Over the last two years this event at Lincoln Speedway has been the lone qualifier for the Dirt Classic, and the man to beat has been Danny Dietrich. With 2016 seeing expansion to qualifying events, this race too has expanded with a unique twist in place.

“I think this is a great paying race, and my team is really looking forward to it,” Danny Dietrich said. “It’ll be interesting to see how the night goes on and how the track shapes up for the feature and see how a team can come through the field. Winning this race the last two years, we come into Saturday night just treating it as another race, and hopefully coming out on top.”

Lincoln%20outlaws%205-19-16%20252Aside from simply being a qualifying race for September’s event there is a ‘Pay to Pass’ Challenge in place on Saturday night, giving one team the opportunity to make some really good money should they take the challenge and work their way through the field. Should a driver come from the tail to pick up the win they would leave with $15,000.

Heading into Saturday night’s event Alan Krimes comes in as the track’s point leader amidst a very solid 2016 campaign that has seen him record five top five finishes and nine top-10’s. Krimes has been able to do this on a shoe string budget over the years, so Saturday’s guaranteed $7,000 to the winner would be a welcome prize if the team could pick up their first win of the season.

Lincoln%20outlaws%205-19-16%200572015 Dirt Classic Champion, Brian Montieth sits second in track championship standings with two wins to his credit, and will be a threat to earn the Golden Ticket as he searches for his third win of the season at Lincoln Speedway. In Saturday night’s race at the track, Montieth finished in the ninth spot,

Other drivers expected to be on hand Saturday night include Greg Hodnett, Cory Haas, Glenndon Forsythe, Chase Dietz, Brandon and Freddie Rahmer, Ryan Smith, JJ Grasso, Tim Glatfelter, and a host of other stars and cars from the central PA region.
