HISTORIC RACE CARS TO BE FEATURED IN DISPLAYS THROUGHOUT MOTORSPORTS 2015 AS THE SHOW CELEBRATES ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY

OAKS, PA October 22, 2014 . . . The Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2015 fueled by Sunoco Race Fuels and Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Friday, January 23 thru Sunday, January, 25th with a new feature attraction.

The popular motorsports trade show, located at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, will be the showcasing a number of special race car displays located at key location throughout the 250,000 square feet of show space.

Event promoter Len Sammons is working to bring several more special race car attractions to the three day show. Race car owners, new or historical, that would like to be considered for a showcase display space at the show are invited to email a photo along with information about the car and themselves to motorsports@aarn.com. Show organizers are also eager to receive suggestions from attendees.

“We are in the process of putting together some exciting plans for the 30th Anniversary,” said Sammons. “We’re looking for several race cars that deserve special showcase status for their historical or unique qualities.”

Again this year the show will feature just about everything there is to be seen that relates to motorsports. Those involved in motorcycle and drag racing are invited to be part of the show and display their racing equipment as well.

Raymond Boissoneau of Manchester, NH has committed to bringing the first two showcased race cars, both historic Indianapolis cars that will certainly attract a great deal of attention.

A 1961 Kurtis-Kraft (KK500C) Offenhauser roadster, a red No. 43, once owned by Dr. Raymond T. Brady of Norristown, PA will be on display. The car made attempts to qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 with Ronnie Duman at the wheel in 1961 and Bob Mathouser in 1962.

The second car that Boissoneau will have on display will be the Troy Oil Special which qualified for the Indy 500 twice and was owned both times by Joe Langley. Just like the Brady entry the car was Offenhauser powered but used a Langley chassis.

In 1949 the car carried the No. 71 with red and cream colors. Norm Houser drove the car to a 10th place finish after starting 24th. He was flagged after 181 laps finishing 19 laps behind winner Bill Holland.

Gene Hartley drove the same car sporting the No. 75 and painted red, black and silver in 1950. He started 31st and finished 16th. He was flagged after 128 laps finishing 72 laps behind Johnny Parsons.

Exhibitor space is filling quickly as the 30th anniversary show has attracted a huge amount of attention. The hotel is located just 7.5 miles from the Expo Center and is within walking distance of the popular King of Prussia Mall, the nation’s second largest retail complex with over 350 stores and close to 100 restaurants.
