MIDDLETOWN, NY – 50 laps. $30,900 in purse money. A championship on the line.

All signs point to an entertaining, dramatic inaugural Behrent’s Performance Warehouse ‘Hard Clay Finale’ on Thursday, October 19 at Orange County Fair Speedway. The event serves as a kickoff to the historic Eastern States Weekend at the venerable five-eighths-mile oval.

Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP big-block/small-block Modifieds are featured in a 50-lap main event at the ‘Legendary House of Power’ with $5,000 going to the winner, $1,000 for 10th and $500 to start. A field of 30 cars minimum will take the green flag.

The Behrent’s Performance Warehouse ‘Hard Clay Finale’ serves as the ninth and final round of the Halmar International North Region. Andy Bachetti currently leads the $12,500 championship chase.

Sheffield, Mass., driver Andy Bachetti won the spring STSS stop at Orange County, driving from 20th to the victory with late-race passes of both Stewart Friesen and Brett Hearn.

The non-top-heavy payout posted for this event is favorable for all teams: 1) $5,000; 2) $4,000; 3) $2,500; 4) $1,800; 5) $1,500; 6) $1,400; 7) $1,300; 8) $1,200; 9) $1,100; 10) $1,000; 11) $750; 12) $650; 13) $600: 14) $550; 15) $525; 16) $515; 17) $510; 18-30) $500.

Pit gates for the ‘Hard Clay Finale’ will officially open on October 19 at 3 p.m. Teams will be permitted to enter the facility beginning on Wednesday (October 18). A Thursday pit pass, however, will be required for entry in the pits beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Drive-in gates will be unlocked at 4 p.m., with grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m.

Cars will hit the track at approximately 5:45 p.m., with the first heat race rolling off at 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $25 for Adults, $23 for Seniors and $5 for Kids 12 and under. Reserved seats (Rows H-O of the covered grandstand) are available for $30 by calling the speedway at 845.342.2573.

Pit admission is $35 with no license required.

Street Stocks, under Orange County rules, will complete the doubleheader racing for $200 to win (no car entry fee).
