FOUR FEATURES HEADLINE AT WALL STADIUM SATURDAY (AUG. 31)

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The All American Auto Group Modified stock cars, the Center State Engineering Sportsman cars, the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks and the Mike’s Performance Center Limited Late Models will take center stage at Wall Stadium Speedway this Saturday night (Aug. 31) as they compete in main events to celebrate the Labor Day weekend. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. The evening’s main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m. In appreciation of their service, active military and veterans will be admitted free of charge to the grandstand when presenting proper identification.

On the dust free third mile high-banked paved oval Modified point leader Steven Reed of Jackson will lead the way with expected competition coming from Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Brick’s Eric Mauriello, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River and Howell’s Kevin Davison, just to name a few. With the 2019 regular season title chase entering the final stretch this 40-lap race takes on added importance.

The Sportsman racers will be led to action by Kyle Scisco and brothers Carsten and Jarret DiGiantomasso, all of Jackson, among others, for their 25-lap feature race.

Factory Stocks also have an important 25-lap main event scheduled. Top point men Elliot Wohl of Beachwood, Neptune’s Bryan O’Shea and Scott Riggleman of Manchester are just a few of the racers expected to enter. The 25-lap main event for the Limited Late Models will see big winner Shanon Mongeau of Manchester in the field, with top runners Joe Mongeau of Brick and Chris Silvestri of Hazlet also expected to compete.

In the grandstand midway the theme for the night of action will be a Labor Day BBQ featuring BBQ food offered at the refreshment stands and country music on the public address system.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying for the night’s program starts at 5:45 p.m. and main events will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through early October. Special events are also featured in the fall including the “Spooky Spectacular” on October 5 and the season ending Turkey Derby on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
