BREWERTON, NY – The Brewerton Speedway has been quiet since the final checkered flag last October. All that will change when the “D-Shaped Dirt Demon” comes back to life, challenging some of the best dirt track racers in the area this Friday, May 18.

In competition on the exciting night of speed will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman, STARS Mod Lites and JB Logging & Firewood 4-Cylinders presented by LaLonde Electric, Davis Construction, C&J Butchering and Hadlock Lawn Care & Sealing.

Adult grandstand admission is $12 with everyone 18 years old and under free. Pit admission is $27-Member and $30 Non-Member. Grandstand will open at 5:30 pm with the first green flag of the season slated for 7:30 pm.

It will be a wide-open season in the 800-horsepower DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds where a new track champion will be crowned. In 2017 there were ten different feature winners. With the level of competition that includes, Jimmy Phelps, Larry Wight, Max McLaughlin, Pat Ward, Matt Hulsizer, Tim Sears Jr., Chad Phelps, Chris Hile, Andrew Ferguson, Rob Bellinger, Tom Sears Jr., Tim Kerr, Jim Witko Jr. and others will make it anyone’s guess whose name will be etched on the champion’s trophy at the end of the season.

Like the Big Block Modifieds, the DIRTcar Sportsman will also see a new track champion with 2017 champion Ron Davis III, plus Todd Root, Glenn Forward and Tyler Trump moving up from the Sportsman to the Fulton Speedway DIRTcar 358 Modifieds.

Justin Williams will be back to defend his title in the highly competitive Mod Lites. Chris Bonoffski as of race-week said it’s possible he will be back to defend his championship in the JB Logging & Firewood 4-Cylinders driving for someone.
