Local Family Owned & Operated Business Signs On As Associate Sponsor

FONDA, NY- February 20, 2016- 2016 Just keeps getting better for the King Of Dirt Racing Series. This week after a wing filled lunch visit with Elmo Reckner, Chris Reckner, and KOD promoter Rob Hazer, a deal was struck to make Elmo’s Auto Body and Elmo’s Speed & Supply a Associate title sponsor of the growing tour for their sophomore season.
Elmo’s Speed & Supply has become highly successful by servicing drivers needs for new and used parts. Their focus on making things affordable for their customers has grown repeat business, inventory, and reputation throughout the Capital Region. In 2016 Mr. Nice Guy and his entire group are almost certain to have a presence at the track with the possibility of a parts truck.
“Chris and Elmo work hard to find a balance between what drivers need and what they want, while at the same time finding a balance between cost and profit. I think this is what makes them successful and why they’ve built a rather loyal customer base in such a short time. They’ve got new and used parts that drivers may need in a pinch and the next logical step in their growth is a presence at the speedway with a truck,” said KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.
Of course the parts business is another rewarding contribution to racing from the Reckner pair, but not their first success in the wide world of business. Elmo’s Auto Body is their livelihood with a reputation of being tops at auto body repair. From the time a vehicle is towed in until the time it leaves customers can count on Elmo’s Auto Body to keep them informed, get the repair done, and have their vehicle back to factory conditions with minimal inconveniences.
“A lot of times you may hear about this shop or that shop on the radio or in a television add, but the work they push out is the equivalent to processed turkey versus real turkey. I can tell you first hand that Elmo, Chris, Dan, Buck, John, Jerry, Pete, James, and all the rest of the staffers at Elmo’s Auto Body make sure you’re vehicle is done right and done with care. There’s only a handful that can honestly claim that and Elmo’s is one of them,” continued Rob Hazer.
The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? King Of Dirt Crate Sportsman Series presented by Dodson Construction and driven by Hoosier Racing Tires now has a presenting sponsor for each night of the 2016 racing season. Elmo’s Speed & Supply will present the Friday Night Lights 30 Lap race at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on June 24th and also the Mr. Crate Track USA 30 Lap race at Lebanon Valley Speedway on September 1st. Elmo’s Auto Body will present all other KOD Sportsman races.
“I enjoy getting together, having some lunch, and talking racing with Chris and Elmo. We did that this past week to catch up and somewhere along the lines in the conversation we struck up a deal where I can help them and they can help me. They’re truly good people and I’m excited to have them part of the series. I appreciate what they do for us,” concluded KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.
Things are looking solid once again for the King Of Dirt Racing Series with the 2016 season just around the corner. This past week the tour launched King Of Dirt Radio, which is an on demand type radio ‘short’ broadcast weekly on Wednesday nights called ‘From The Promoters Chair’ that includes promoter Rob Hazer talking about the series and giving the inside track on tour happenings. This coming Wednesday at 7PM the show will include talking about sponsors and some KOD Pro Stock news.
King Of Dirt continues to evolve into the series for the drivers, by the drivers, and of the drivers. In just a short time from now dirt will be flying with the KOD Sportsman opener at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park on April 15th.
