Newberrytown, PA (March 22, 2015) – Ownership of the long standing and popular Central PA Dirt Trackin’ show held every January in York has changed hands once again.  Todd and Rhonda Fisher, owners of the Susquehanna Speedway Park, have sold the rights and assets of the wintertime racecar show to local businessman, Scott Gobrecht of New Oxford.

The Central PA Dirt Trackin’ Show has been a long standing event in the Susquehanna Valley area since its inception in 1984.  The main focus of the show has always been a preview of the upcoming dirt track season at many of the area speedways.  It’s an atmosphere where fans and participants come together during the off-season to relive the seasons past as well as looking forward to the upcoming racing season.

Todd Fisher approached Scott Gobrecht about taking over the management and ownership of the show and they agreed.  “The Dirt Trackin’ Show back is very valuable to all those involved with the Central PA racing scene and we have tried to bring in new things to spark interest in the show.  With running SSP until mid-November, we simply do not have the time to properly do everything needed to make the show the best that it can be,” said Todd Fisher.  “I want to thank all the vendors and racers who displayed their vehicles at the last year’s show.  We could not have done it without their support.” Fisher continued.

In terms of the Scott Gobrecht, Fisher added “I know he will do a fine job to carry on this great show which is in its 33rd year.  He will have all of our support where it is needed.”

“I’m very excited to continue the long standing wintertime tradition of the Central PA Dirt Trackin’ Show,” said Gobrecht.  “I am looking forward to expanding and growing the show to the heights that it once had back when it started in the early 1980s.  With everyone’s help we can get it there as the show will be a fun place to be during the offseason.  I am especially excited to work John Krall who will continue as the Show Director.”

The dates of the 33rd Annual Central PA Dirt Trackin’ Show at the York Expo Center (Memorial Hall) will be announced shortly. The York Expo Center is located at the York Fairgrounds in York, Pennsylvania.

The website can be found at www.dirttrackinshow.com.  More information about the show and updated forms will be forthcoming and released in the near future.
