August 1, 2020):  Dominick Buffalino of Morganville, NJ became the fourth different Vahlco Wheels Modified feature winner in as many races Saturday night on Jeep night at New Egypt Speedway. Buffalino took the lead with 8 laps remaining in the 30 lap event and held on to post his first win of 2020, and the 13th Modified victory of his career. Buffalino swept the evening as he also won his 10 lap heat race.

PJ Oliver and Steve Davis brought the 25-car field to the drop of the green with Oliver powering his way out in front. Cale Ross and Buffalino quickly moved into second and third and took up the chase of the leader during the first half of the race.  After lap 5 the race ran 21 laps before the next caution, and during this period Billy Pauch Jr., Ryan Krachun, Mike Butler and Davey Sammons charged up thru the tough field. At the halfway mark Pauch and Krachun battled for several laps side by side for the fifth position as Buffalino moved into the runnerup position and chased after leader Oliver. With ten laps remaining Pauch suddenly surged forward racing up to third. Buffalino at this point had caught Oliver and on lap 22 he made what would be the winning pass. Pauch grabbed second as the five to go signal was given to the field however Buffalino was more than a half of a straightaway in front.  One lap later the red flag was displayed for Brandon Grosso who had flipped in turn three, erasing the sizeable lead Buffalino was enjoying and setting up a four lap shootout. Buffalino controlled the restart but Pauch stayed with him and made one last bid on the outside in the final two turns, but Buffalino was up to the challenge and posted the popular win. Pauch Jr. finished a close second, early leader Oliver came home third, followed by Cale Ross and Mike Butler.

Vinny Trioa, a rookie in 2019, captured his first career win in the 20 lap Ice Less Crate Modified feature. Troia took the lead early after a hard battle with Nick Van Wickle and then had to hold off a red hot Jim Housworth late in the event to earn his first ever win. Housworth, who has won all 3 Sportsman features in 2020 so far, settled for second after throwing everything he had at the winner to no avail.  Van Wickle posted his best finish in third, followed by 12th starting Anthony Tramontana Jr who takes over the point lead.  Tom Princiotta rounded out the top five.
