Blue Ridge Communications Prepares For Act II This Saturday At Mahoning Valley Speedway

 

(LEHIGHTON, Pa. 7-6-15) After a very successful debut of broadcasting the night of stock car racing at Lehighton’s Mahoning Valley Speedway on June 6, Blue Ridge Communications TV-13 Sports will be returning to the track for another taping this coming Saturday, July 11.

“We are looking forward to returning to Mahoning Valley Speedway for another edition of Thunder in the Valley,” said BRC13 sports anchor Brian Unangst.

“We had great success with the races we aired last month and plenty of positive feedback from our viewers.”

TV-13 Sports covers all of the region’s local sports including baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, soccer, field hockey, track and field, swimming, golf and all of the area auto racing action.

The night’s line-up includes a full slate of all six track classes which include Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks.

The main event of the evening will be the George Ramos Jr., “Pineapple 50” Memorial for Late Models paying $1200 to win. Also on the docket will be the rain postponed Pro 4 20 lapper from May 30.
