Blake Hahn Shows Speed at Riverside Despite Rough Finish
SAPULPA, Okla. (May 6, 2015) Taking on the Riverside International Speedway in the seventh annual Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 presented by MyRacePass.com, Blake Hahn took the CSR Garage / Lucas Oil Products to the point, but would end up on the hook as contact with the wall ended Hahn’s night on Lap 38.
“Overall we really had a good weekend. The car felt good from the start and I was able to run anywhere so I just kept trying the track and made our way to third before the caution and was able to battle with Crawley and Reutzel but just got into the wall,” explained Hahn.
Popping the right rear tire, a trip to the work area revealed further damage to the right side suspension, including the Radius Rod, Bird Cage, Jacobs Ladder, and Torsion Arm.
“I was bummed to not finish, but it was an exciting night. We’re looking forward to see what comes next.”
From the tight quarter-mile of Riverside, to the sweeping half-mile at Lakeside Speedway on Thursday, May 7 for the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic at Lakeside Speedway, Hahn said adjustments to the car should be minimal, “Right now it seems like we’ve found something with this JR1 so I’m looking forward to Lakeside. It’ll be my first race there, but watching videos on Racinboys and YouTube, it looks like it should be a good race.”
Following Lakeside, the Hahn Motorsports No. 52 will head south for the Hammer Hill Showdown at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. Both races will be broadcast live on http://www.racinboys.com.
