World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series takes on Attica Raceway Park for the Kistler Engines Classic and I-96 Speedway for the NAPA Auto Parts Rumble in Michigan
CONCORD, N.C. – May 27, 2015 – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is now officially one-third of the way through its 2015 schedule. As the very active summer months ramp up, reigning series champion Donny Schatz is a man on a mission with 11 wins and a 79 point lead in the championship standings.

As the series hits this milestone in the season, here are some of the numbers that have defined 2015 so far:

2003 – The last time a driver had more than 11 wins by the end of May. Including preliminary night wins, Steve Kinser stood in victory lane 12 times before June 1 that year. Schatz has two more chances this weekend to match and break that total.
192 – The total number of drivers who have earned points at a World of Outlaws event in 2015.
116 – The difference between Donny Schatz’s total laps led and Shane Stewart ‘s total laps led.
40 – The number of different heat race winners this season.
28 – The number of completed features out of 31 scheduled so far in 2015.
13 – The number of states that have hosted Outlaws events so far this season.
11 – The number of wins Donny Schatz has so far this season. Daryn Pittman and Shane Stewart are closest in total wins with three each. Also, the number of individual winners so far this season.
4 – Donny Schatz’s win total at the same point last season. He went on to win 26 times last year.
1 – The number of times the ‘8’ Dash inversion pill has been drawn through the first 28 races.

DSC_0247The World of Outlaws take on the third-mile oval Attica Raceway Park for the Kistler Engines Classic on Friday, May 29. Dale Blaney stood in victory lane at the track last season. Donny Schatz is the most recent Outlaw to win there back in 2011.

After Attica, the series heads north to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa Michigan for the NAPA Auto Parts Rumble in Michigan on Saturday, May 30. The event continues a long partnership between the World of Outlaws and NAPA Auto Parts. Fans who present a NAPA Auto Parts receipt at the track at the time of their ticket purchase will receive a $5 discount.

Great seats remain for the NAPA Auto Parts Rumble in Michigan at I-96 Speedway and the Kistler Engines Classic at Attica Raceway Park.
