AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR THE ROMP IN THE SWAMP CALL BEFORE YOU DIG CHAMPIONSHIP TO TAKE PLACE AT SPEEDZONE RACEWAY AND HOBBIES ON SEPTEMBER 3

Sicklerville, NJ (August 12, 2015) – An informational meeting for the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship will take place at Speedzone Raceway and Hobbies on Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. Speedzone Raceway and Hobbies is located in downtown Mt. Holly, New Jersey at 201 Pine Street. SpeedZone Raceway and Hobbies houses a 220 foot large eight lane Engleman slot car road course that will be open for use. Attendees for this meeting need to RSVP by Tuesday, September 1 to mikewiz1962@yahoo.com or via the posted event located on the Wiz Motorsports Communications Facebook page. Food and beverages will be provided for those in attendance.

The meeting is being scheduled for interested participants in the Romp of the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile. This special event taking place on Saturday, September 26 will feature a unique format culminating in a 40-lap feature with a $10,000 first place prize. For this highly anticipated race, time trials will take place for all entrants with the top five qualifiers automatically advancing into the main event. All other racers will attempt to qualify for the 40-lap feature with the bottom ten time trialers competing in the first of a series of 10-lap sub main races. The top five finishers from this initial contest will advance into the next race and face the next set of five slowest qualifiers for another 10-lap race. This sequence of races with the top five finishers advancing will continue up to the main event.  By winning the championship in the five race Modified 811 Dig Safe Series, Jimmy Horton is a guaranteed starter for the Romp of the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship. Any type of dirt Modified Stock Car will be eligible for the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship. Entry form and rules for this event will be available at this meeting, Also,  the promotional team will explain the additional ways for competitors to become a guaranteed starter should they not qualify through time trials or sub main races. In addition to the Modifieds, the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprints will be in action on Saturday, September 26.
