All Star Cup Shootout Next Event on the Schedule
New Egypt, NJ– With a rain forecast of 70% for the evening hours, New Egypt Speedway was forced to cancel their Football Night event scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2014.
“After looking at the radar and seeing the threat of rain not just possible showers, we had no choice but to cancel for tonight,” said General Manager Allyse Wolfinger. “We would have loved to have had another point show for the Crates and the Street Stocks who have incredibly close point battles going on, but Mother Nature didn’t seem to agree with us.”
The next event on the schedule will be New Egypt’s biggest event of the season the All Star Cup Shootout on Saturday, September 20th. The Shootout features the 358 Modifieds in a $10,000 to win, 40- lap event, the Crate Modifieds in a 30-lap, $5,000 to win event, and the Racesaver® Sprints in a 25-lap, $3,005 to win event. Not only will drivers be competing for an increased purse but also bonus awards and contingencies courtesy of sponsors including Bob Hilbert Sportswear, 4Star Lettering, Lineman Racing, BD Motorsports Media, JLD Graphics, Bridgeport Speedway, Mikes Performance, PM3 Digital Imaging, Lias Tire, ASI Racewear, Wiz Fab, Five Mile Point Speedway, Island Performance/Competition Carburetors, Racersguide.com, Vahlco Wheels, ATL Fuel Cells, Bitner Automotive, and Excavating Materials & Equipment.
Not to be left out there will be lots of giveaways and entertainment for the fans during the event as well. There will be a pre-race fan fest in the turn 4 picnic area featuring an autograph session, music, cars on display, and a silent auction. The silent auction will feature sheet metal from drivers Jimmy Blewett, Mike Butler, Tom Princiotta, Bryan Kuhl, and more. There will also be memorabilia from drivers Billy Pauch, Ryan Godown, Danny Bouc, and more. There will also be lots of giveaways courtesy of Physical Therapy Associates of Mercer County, Hecht Trailers, Kinsler Fuel Injections, Speedway Raceway, Windsor Farms, and more. Stay after the races for a post race party hosted by Allyse and Pete featuring food, music, and more.
Pit gates will open at 10:30 am for early safety and technical inspection. Front gates will open at 12:30 pm with hot laps beginning at 3 pm and the first green flag waving at 4 pm. Adults are $30, seniors 65 and older are $28, teens 12-15 and active military and their spouses are $15, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $35 with any track license and $40 without any track license.
