ACCORD, NY – Accord Speedway will have something for everyone next Tuesday, May 19.

A talent-laden field of racers, a huge payout, bonuses, awards and even a race fan giveaway highlight the New York Truck Parts Inc. ‘Battle of the Bullring 3’ presented by Shakelton Auto & Truck Center at the Ulster County quarter-mile oval.

The special midweek event is headlined by the Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek big-block/small-block Modifieds in a 53-lap event paying $5,300-plus to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 just to take the green flag. This event is the third of eight races in the Bob Hilbert Sportswear North Region $15,000 championship battle currently led by Stewart Friesen of Sprakers, N.Y.

Also on the card: Open vs. Crate 602 Sportsman in a 25-lap feature offering a $1,000 winner’s share and Slingshots running a 20-lap main with $300 going to the victor. There is a rain date in place of Wednesday, May 20.

Special awards and bonuses are adding up quickly. Economy Movers, based in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has signed on as the Hard Charger Award sponsor, providing a $200 bonus to the driver advancing the most positions from their scheduled start to the finish of the 53-lap STSS Modified event. Economy Movers also added $50 each to laps 20 and 40 in the main.

Rock Fantasy Concert, Smoke Shop & Pinball Room of Middletown, N.Y., will reward the Halfway Leader in the STSS Modified main with $150 cash. Laps are filling up quickly for the event and will be distributed at $20/lap to drivers rotating through the top-seven running order.

Zubi’s Racing owner Dave Zubikowski has instituted a unique fan incentive. Five lucky fans will receive $20 gas cards via a drawing of general admission ticket stubs during the evening.

Halmar International of Nanuet, N.Y., has signed on for a pair of Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway bonuses. With OCFS silent for an off-weekend on May 23, competitors choosing to compete in the ‘Battle of the Bullring 3’ will be rewarded. The top-finishing OCFS big-block regular in the order of finish will receive $150, while the highest-placing small-block takes home $100.

The top-finishing representative from Thunder Mountain (N.Y.) Speedway in the 53-lap main will earn a cash bonus of $100 for their efforts courtesy of speedway management. A similar $100 bonus will be handed out to the leading New Egypt (N.J.) Speedway representative.

ASI Trophy & Awards will boost the top-finishing Accord (N.Y.) Speedway regular’s earnings by $100 at the finish of the extra-distance 53-lap main.

A number of product awards and certificates will be handed out, as well, from Allstar Performance, American Racer/Lias Tire, Behrent’s Performance Warehouse, Bob Hilbert Sportswear, Fast Axle, Hi-Tek/VP Racing Fuels, Shiley Fabrication, S&W Awards and Vahlco Wheels.

Hunt’s Machine will reward the highest-placing, Accord-sealed Crate 602 Sportsman engine with a $200 bonus following the 25-lap Sportsman main.

The ‘Battle of the Bullring 3’ celebrates its third running in 2015. Last year, Anthony Perrego of Montgomery, N.Y., emerged from an intense tussle with Tommy Meier to score the victory. In the inaugural ’13 running, Danny Creeden of Wurtsboro, N.Y., was the winner.
