A TRACK CHAMPION COULD BE SELECTED AS A STARTER FOR THE ROMP IN THE SWAMP CALL BEFORE YOU DIG CHAMPIONSHIP AND HAVE A CHANCE FOR A $10,000 PAYDAY
Sicklerville, NJ (August 23, 2015) – On Saturday September 26, a track champion could be selected as a starter in the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship at Bridgeport Speedway. If chosen, this driver will have a chance at the $10,000 first place prize. This unique opportunity is open to any driver that has won a track championship in 2015 in a dirt Modified style race care and enters the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship by Monday, September 21. Following the conclusion of the B-Main event, all non-qualifying track champions on hand will be entered for the random drawing. The chosen driver will start the 40-lap feature in thirteenth position. Entry forms and rules for the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship are available at www.bpspeedway.com under the forms and rules tab.
The Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship will showcase a unique format culminating in the 40-lap feature with $10,000 awarded to the victor. All entrants will compete in time trials and the top five qualifiers will automatically advance to the 40-lap main event. All other racers will attempt to qualify for the 40-lap feature with the bottom ten time trialers competing in the first of a series of 10-lap sub main races. The top five finishers from this initial contest will advance into the next race and face the next set of five slowest qualifiers for another 10-lap race. This sequence of races with the top five finishers advancing will continue up to the main event. In addition to the Modifieds, the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprints will be in action on Saturday, September 26.
Prior to the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship, an informational meeting for interested participants will occur at Speedzone Raceway and Hobbies on Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. Speedzone Raceway and Hobbies is located in downtown Mt. Holly, New Jersey at 201 Pine Street. SpeedZone Raceway and Hobbies houses a 220 foot large eight lane Engleman slot car road course that will be open for use. Attendees for this meeting need to RSVP by Tuesday, September 1 to mikewiz1962@yahoo.com or via the posted event located on the Wiz Motorsports Communications Facebook page. Food and beverages will be provided for those in attendance.
