TULSA, Okla. (November 18, 2015) The pre-entry deadline for the 31st annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout is less than a month away and the entry list is on pace to surpass all expectations with drivers from 25 states and four countries (United States, Canada, Australia, and Tasmania) making their intentions of a Golden Driller known.

A quick look inside the numbers shows the entry list standing at 551 received so far. The list of nine classes is comprised of 270 drivers.

Among the entered includes 2015 champions Frank Flud (1,200cc Mini Sprints), Blake Hahn (ECOtec Midget), Trey Marcham (“A” Class Non-Wing and Non-Wing Oultaw), Giovanni Scelzi (“A” Class), and Kaylee Bryson (Restricted “A” Class), and Michael Faccinto (Winged Outlaw). The only 2015 Golden Driller recipient that has not entered yet is California’s Nikko Panella who topped Junior Sprints.

TS_MF_1-2-2015_IMG_0265Overall, 17 past champions are currently entered; accounting for 30 Shootout victories. Sapulpa, Oklahoma’s Blake Hahn with six wins leads the current count with Frank Flud (Pryor, Okla.) closest at a trio of Golden Drillers.

Brock Lemley (Bellingham, Wash.), Chad Winfrey (Liberty, Mo.), Chris Andrews (Tulsa, Okla.), Chris Cochran (McLoud, Okla.), Michael Faccinto (Hanford, Cali.), and Trey Marcham (Oklahoma City, Okla.) each make the list with a pair wins.

Single wins on our past champion’s list include Chance Morton (Coweta, Okla.), Dalton Seigler (Sapulpa, Okla.), Giovanni Scelzi (Fresno, Cali.), Grady Chandler (Edmond, Okla.), Jason Tyer (Irving, Texas), Mike Ward (Tulsa, Okla.), Riley Adair (Tulsa, Okla.), Shawn Wicker (Sand Springs, Okla.), and Tucker Worth (Coalinga, Cali.).

Further into the numbers shows only two drivers so far entered in five or more classes with Frank Flud leading the charge at six, followed by Blake Hahn at five. In all, 167 drivers have entered into two or more classes of competition.

The 2016 edition of the Tulsa Shootout takes place December 30, 2015 through January 2, 2016. Classes for the 31st annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout will include:

* Winged Outlaw
* Non-Winged Outlaw
* “A” Class Winged
* “A” Class Non-Winged
* “A” Class Restricted
* Junior Sprints
* 1,200cc Non-Winged Mini Sprints
* 1,200cc Winged Mini Sprints
* ECOtec/Ford Focus Midgets

Pre-entry is $103 per class and can be mailed to the Tulsa Shootout office at 1141 S. 83rd East Ave. Tulsa, OK 74112 or faxed to (918) 836-5517 starting September 30, 2015. Entries received on, or after, December 9, 2015 are considered late and will be charged $120 per entry. Please note, any team wanting to pay for Pit Passes with a check must be pre-approved by the Tulsa Shootout office. Call the office at 918-838-3777 for approval.

Each racing vehicle (NOT ENTRY) is allowed one 9’x10′ space only. Multiple vehicles may combine spaces to leave trailer inside the complex. All times below may vary depending on vehicle count.
