SYRACUSE, NY – Last year marked the first season for 1000 Islands RV Centre from Gananoque, Ontario as the title sponsor for the Canada Tour with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS). To even sweeten the pot for 2018, not only will the top 15 in Canada points take home from the point fund, the champion will also receive a 2000 watt Hyundai Generator.

Last season’s overall Lucas Oil ESS champion Jason Barney just edged seven-time ESS champ Steve Poirier for the 1000 Islands RV Centre title. Paulie Colagiovanni, Paul Kinney and Alain Bergeron capped off the top five in points.
Once again Autodrome’s Granby and Drummond, Brockville Ontario Speedway, Le RPM Speedway, Cornwall Motor Speedway, Mohawk International Raceway and the Ohsweken Speedway will hold either full point or show up point events for the Canada Tour.
The Tour North of the Border kicks off with a bang featuring a big three race weekend with visits to Granby and Drummond in Quebec which features a purse of $2,000 to win and $500 to start followed by a Sunday visit to Cornwall, Ontario that pays $2,000 to win and $325 to start!
The 2018 season marks the 35th Anniversary Tour for the Lucas Oil backed tour and having 1000 Islands RV Centre back as a major contributor is a welcomed addition to the sponsorship family. Opening night is a few short months away and will showcase the continued tradition of excitement guaranteed!
