TIM BUCKWALTER DOING DOUBLE DUTY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 16, 2019 . . . When the tripleheader auto racing action gets the green flag this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway local talent Tim Buckwalter will be doing double duty as he races in the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and the Rapid Tire United States Auto Club East Coast Wingless Sprint Cars.
The Douglassville, PA racing talent has been a winner at Grandview in the NASCAR Modifieds and, in addition, has been a two time champion at Kutztown’s Action Track USA and a champion with the American Racing Drivers Club.
The veteran racer will be wheeling a sprinter owned by Norristown’s Bill Gallagher and wrenched by multi-time United Racing Club champion Curt Michael. “It’s a good car. One of the best 360 Sprint cars in the area. It is a big opportunity to work with Curt,” said Buckwalter. “I’m excited to see how we do.”
This will be a first time appearance for the USAC East Coast Sprints at Grandview and a stellar field of racers is expected.
Buckwalter will also be going up against some outstanding driving talents in the Modifieds, something he is familiar with as he is a Saturday night regular. Ten time NASCAR track champion Craig Von Dohren is the current point leader and already has two feature wins to his credit this season.
In addition to the Sprints and Modifieds fans will be treated to the exciting action of the T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman stock cars.
A full series of qualifying race events will lead up to the feature events in each of the three divisions. Racing has a 7:30 p.m. starting time.
The very popular Low Down & Dirty Meet and Greet, 5 P.M. at the main grandstand entrance, will feature cars and drivers that will be racing later in the evening. Modified racer Ryan Lilick and Sportsman talent Kyle Lilick will be meeting fans and will have their new t-shirts available for sale. In addition two of the top Sprint racing talents, Steven Drevicki and Eddie Strada, will be meeting fans.
admission is $20, youngsters 6 through 11 pay just $5 and kids under 6 are admitted free. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.
And on Sunday, May 19th at 1 p.m. Outlaw Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage Racers. Big Car Enduro (75-laps), Small Car Enduro (75-laps), Junkyard Car Race (50-laps), Savage 61 Roadrunners (20-lap feature plus qualifying), Vintage Cars (2-20-lap features), Mechanics Race (20-laps), Outlaw 4X4 Truck Series (Heats and Features on Obstacle Course). Adult admission is $10.
