CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS VS. SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS (27 entries)
Glenn Styres and Todd Hoddick started the 25 lap 360 Sprint Car feature on the front row, and the race ended with Hoddick chasing Styres to the checkered flag for the second time in four days. Third starter Dain Naida bicycled after catching a rut in the first turn of the first lap, and later finished 12th after a brief trip to the pit area.

Keith Dempster held the third spot until sixth row starter Chris Steele got by just before the halfway mark, but Mitch Brown then passed Steele a few laps later. Brown finished third behind Styres and Hoddick, with Steele and Cory Turner rounding out the top 5.

Two red flags stopped the race, as Jamie Turner tipped over in turn two, and Warren Mahoney crashed hard into the inside wall entering turn one. Both drivers were uninjured, but Mahoney’s car especially was heavily damaged.

Hoddick now holds a 20 point lead over Brown in the championship standings, with Styres in third, another 15 points behind.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS (15 entries)
Polesitter Mark Czuba looked to have the Crate Sprint Car feature under control early in the race, but couldn’t maintain that pace. Josh Shantz used the outside lane to track Czuba down and take his first win of the season. A late charge by sixth row starter Ryan Hunsinger kept the result in question until the final turn. Hunsinger settled for the runner-up spot, followed by Czuba, Jake Brown, and Mack DeMan.

Dylan Westbrook saw his lead in the championship standings dwindle when he flipped hard in the first turn just as his teammate Aaron Turkey brought out a yellow flag when he lost power in turn four. Westbrook was uninjured, but his car was damaged heavily, and his points lead is down to just 10 markers over Alex Hill, with four other drivers within 5 points of Hill.

The championship standings lead changed hands again, as Billy Bleich, Jr. was caught up in a crash early in the race. He made a trip to the pits for repairs and recovered to finish 13th, but Bailey is now 5 points ahead of both Bleich and Van Wart at the top of the standings.

Rob Hoskins opened a large lead in the Mini Stock feature until mechanical problems forced him to the sidelines with five laps remaining. Brandon Janssens assumed the lead and drove to his first win of the season, with tenth row starter Jason Lungaro close behind.

Chris Ryckman made up for lost time after coming through his B-Feature to qualify for the race, and finished 3rd, followed by Doug Erskine and Jon Janssens.

Lungaro’s runner-up finish limited the damage to his championship points lead, as Brandon Janssens was only able to gain three points, and remains 44 markers behind.
