Stafford Speedway Announces Revised Fall Schedule; NASCAR Modified® Tour Returns to Stafford
(Stafford Springs, CT)—With 7 events in the books the 2020 season is finally coming together. Stafford Speedway has officially announced its remaining 2020 schedule, which includes 5 events in September and 2 events in October. The NASCAR Whelen Modified® Tour is slated to return to the half-mile for their only Stafford stop of the season on Saturday, September 26th.
“We’ve put together a strong schedule to finish out this crazy year,” explained Stafford Speedway President Mark Arute. “We appreciate drivers, teams, and fans, working with us as we navigate 2020. We’re happy to be able to get a lot of our special events on the calendar like the TC 13 shootout, all of the Modified Open shows, and even have the NASCAR Whelen Modified® Tour back in town.”
The fall schedule is dotted with special events including the Late Model 50 on Friday, September 4th, the TC 13 SK Modified® Shootout, Friday, September 11th and the rescheduled Twisted Tea Open 80 on Friday, September 18th. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will run their typical fall race distance of 150 laps on Saturday, September 26th with a Sunday rain date. The season will extend two weeks past the typical end of September closing and will cap off with Championship Night scheduled for Friday, October 9th.
