Ohsweken Speedway Preseason Meetings Moved Online
OHSWEKEN, Ont. (March 20, 2020) – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Ohsweken Speedway officials have decided to move the Rules Discussions scheduled for Sunday, March 22 to GForceTV.net and the Ohsweken Speedway Facebook page.
Sunday, March 22 Infocasts on GForceTV.net and the Ohsweken Speedway Facebook page are scheduled as follows:
- Thursday Night Micro Sprints Infocast – 12:00pm – 1:30pm
- Friday Night Excitement Infocast – 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Live and interactive online rules discussions for the Thursday Micro Sprints will kick off the broadcast at 12:00pm. The 2020 rules packages for the Kool-Kidz Micro Sprint divisions will be rolled out during the broadcast.
At 2:00pm, the discussion will switch focus towards Ohsweken’s Friday Night Excitement divisions. Track officials will present information on a variety of topics, including a schedule and payout overview, technical bulletins and race procedures.
Ohsweken Speedway officials do not anticipate any major rule changes for Friday competitions as the rules are set for 2020, but teams are welcome to post their questions or concerns to this optional rules and procedures discussion.
“Just like every night at Ohsweken Speedway, the safety of our drivers, teams and staff is our first priority, so we have decided to move the meetings online,” said general manager Clinton Geoffrey. “Everyone interested can watch from home and ask questions or make comments as the meeting moves along. A moderator will be in place to help control the questions and comments. Teams can also leave contact information in order to request an Ohsweken Speedway official call them following the meeting.”
Membership Deadline & New Sponsor Night Partner Program for 2020
New for 2020 is Ohsweken Speedway’s Sponsor Night Partner Program. Ohsweken Speedway members who return their 2020 season memberships forms prior to the March 23 Early Bird cut off will also receive 16 sponsor grandstand passes redeemable for any regular Friday Night Excitement racing event. Teams can use these passes to bring their sponsors to the track for free.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, a new registration procedure is in place. Completed forms MUST be emailed to tammy@ohswekenspeedway.com. Once forms are received via email, you will be contacted within 48 hours for payment. Memberships are payable by debit or credit card. (Cash payments can be arranged if paperwork has been completed). 2020 Season
Ohswken Speedway’s 25th season will be one of its biggest years yet. The 2020 season will feature every event broadcast live via Ohsweken Speedway’s Live Stream network.
