Good Recovery: Caleb Dillard Returns to Ollie’s ‘Cajun Region’ Victory Lane Saturday at Super Bee
CHATHAM, LA – A good recovery.
After fuel pump issues sidelined his primary car on Friday night, Caleb Dillard was back in his No. 18 on Saturday at Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La., picking up a victory in the 25-lap Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Ollie’s ‘Cajun Region’ event.
Dillard led wire-to-wire in the 25-lap main, Round No. 9 of the Day Motor Sports point series.
The win for Dillard, the defending series champion and current point leader, was his fourth of the season worth $1,000.
Anthony Meek of Markee, La., chased Dillard across the line, followed by Tommy Rascoe of Converse, La., Friday night winner Koty Adams of Doyline, La., and Alan Myers of Sibley, La.
The first 22 laps of the event spun off caution-free before the event’s first yellow was thrown.
Next up for the Ollie’s Cajun Region is Day Motor Sports Round No. 10 at 105 Speedway in Cleveland, Texas on Saturday, August 27.
