The Honda USAC Western Midgets return to Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. Saturday and defending series champion Ronnie Gardner takes a four-point lead over Trey Marcham into the event. Marcham and Gardner will be looking for a better night than they had May 2 at Tulare when they finished ninth and 11th respectively. Gardner, however, did post fast qualifying time three weeks ago.
