CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS (17 entries)
Mitch Brown and Dain Naida started the 360 Sprint Car feature on the front row, and Brown used his customary low groove to lead the first 9 laps of the race. A yellow flag on lap 6 for Mike Ferrell’s broken rear end brought Naida and Glenn Styres close behind Brown. Naida used the outside line to take the lead, with Styres in close pursuit.
Naida’s bid for the win came to an end after contact with a slower car sent him careening into the catchfence exiting turn two. Naida was able to walk away from the incident, but his car was heavily damaged.
Styres opened a lead, but Brown patiently stuck to his low groove made up ground as the race neared conclusion. Styres stayed ahead to claim his 5th consecutive Ohsweken win by 0.503 seconds over Brown, followed by Todd Hoddick, Cory Turner, and Ryan Turner.
Hoddick remains the championship leader, but Styres and Brown are just 2 points behind tied for second.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS (14 entries)
Aaron Turkey opened a substantial lead early in the Crate Sprint Car feature, but began to fade as the race progressed. Steve Lyons held the second position until the halfway mark, when 10th starter Ryan Hunsinger took over and began to chase Turkey down.
Front row starter Josh Shantz faded to 4th early in the race, but stuck with his groove around the high side of the track, and eventually caught Hunsinger and Turkey. Shantz passed Hunsinger on lap 12, and Turkey on lap 13 to claim his second win of the season by 0.371 seconds. Turkey settled for the runner-up spot, followed by Hunsinger, Dylan Westbrook, and Lyons.
