Danny Bouc Dominates Modifieds at New Egypt
New Egypt, NJ (June 28, 2014) – Danny Bouc of Pipersville, PA won his first feature in almost 2 years Saturday at New Egypt Speedway as he captured the 30 lap main event by an incredible 6 seconds. Bouc took the lead early in the event, and with no cautions slowing the final 25 laps of the race, Bouc ran away and hid over a half a lap ahead of second place. Bouc actually blew his right rear tire coming off of the final turn and limped across the finish line, still winning by a 6 second margin!

The 30 lap event was slowed a couple of times in the first 5 laps for minor incidents, as Bouc raced up from his 4th starting spot to take command over John Stangle, DJ Ruppert and Pat Wall. During one of these cautions Billy Pauch was forced to the pits for some quick repairs and rejoined at the rear. With the green out to stay Bouc pulled away with ease in the first half of the event as John Stangle held on to second. At halfway, Bouc was a distant memory as an epic 4 car battle for second was taking place as Stangle tried to hold off Jimmy Blewett, Ryan Godown and Modified Rookie Kevin Vaclavicek. Vaclavicek suddenly raced into second with Godown giving chase as Bouc continued to stretch his lead as he was darting in and out of lapped traffic. The final 5 laps saw Bouc over 10 seconds in front as he was completely dominating the event. The final lap saw Bouc shred his right rear tire in turn four and limp toward the finish line. Fortunately for him, his huge lead allowed him to take the checkered first still six seconds ahead of Ryan Godown for his third career win. Godown took second with a late race pass over Vaclavicek, who had his best outing in a Modified to date. Blewett raced home fourth as Pauch used a last lap pass of Tad Cox to finish fifth.

The Crate Modified 20 lap feature event saw Charlie “Chuckles” Stone of Neshanic Station, NJ win his first feature of his career. The NES 2013 Rookie champion held off two-time defending champ Eric Palmer for the second half of the event to take the popular win. Palmer was second ahead of Bryan Kuhl, Ryan Simmons and point leader Mike Butler.

In the Street Stock 20 lapper Billy Liedtka of New Egypt, NJ took the checkered first, but was penalized to last place with fourth place finisher Mick Search when a technical infraction was found in the rear end of their cars. This gave the win to point leader and defending champ Dan Collamer of Waretown, NJ. Jason Saredy finished second, third was Jarrod Burdge, with Ron Frees & Billy Wroble rounding out the top five.

Derek Krum was crowned the 2014 HCI/SpikeNGo Rookie champion as he won the final 10 lap double point event. Kevin Dale finished second with Branden Clauss third.
