FRIDAY'S KOKOMO MIDGET RAINED OUT; SATURDAY "ON" Extremely wet grounds and flooding have forced a cancellation of Friday's opening night of the 2015 Kokomo Midget Grand Prix Honda USAC National Midget event at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway. Favorable forecasts are prevalent for Saturday's scheduled race at the quarter-mile dirt oval and that event remains on the calendar. The Kokomo Midget Grand Prix serves as the opening event on USAC's 2015 Honda National Midget calendar, which encompasses 14 different tracks in a half-dozen states. The series will also appear at Kokomo as part of the "Indiana Midget Week" in mid-June.
