Newberrytown, PA (April 4, 2015) – The Susquehanna Speedway Park opened up on Saturday night for the 61st season with four exciting divisions on a cool and windy night.  Dover’s Gene Knaub took the victory in the Bernheisel Race Components Late Model 25 lapper on opening night.  Loysville’s Jim Plam Jr. took the win by leading the final ten laps of the Street Stock 20 lapper.  Frankie Herr of Carlisle took the win in the 25-lap Super Sportsman tour race.  Chad Earnst from East Berlin won the Legends Cars 20-lap feature event.   Justin Ehrhart started on the pole position…

Newberrytown, PA (March 26, 2015) – The Susquehanna Speedway Park has postponed the scheduled Test & Tune on Saturday, March 28 to Sunday, March 29 due to the predicted freezing temperatures on Saturday.  On Sunday, thegates will open at 2:00 p.m. with practice sessions rotating for each class from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.   Following Sunday, the next Test & Tune will be on Wednesday night, April 1.  The gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with practice sessions rotating for each class from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.   The cost is $14.00 per person for pit passes and a…

Newberrytown, PA (February 7, 2015) – The Night of Honor and Awards Banquet for the Susquehanna Speedway Park’s 2014 season on Friday night, February 6 was filled with an atmosphere of fun, music, enthusiasm and anticipation for the 2015 season.  This was the largest crowd to attend the speedway’s season ending banquet.  Fourteen track champions were crowned and added to the prestigious SSP Hall of Champions list that includes racing great such as Bobby Abel, Johnny Mackison Sr., Gene Goodling, Ray Tilley and Mitch Smith to name a few.   The Awards Gala was held at the historic Valencia Ballroom…

Hodnett Passes Kreitz to Win $10,060 at the Final Showdown at SSP on Saturday Newberrytown, PA (November 15, 2014) – The Final Showdown for the 410 Sprint Cars at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Saturday afternoon, November 15 went to Greg Hodnett of Thomasville.
