Mielke Powers to His First DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Victory at Oakshade Raceway

[xyz-ihs snippet="Horizontal-Google-Banner-Series"] WAUSEON, Ohio - July 11, 2015 - David Mielke topped a 33-car field on Saturday night at Oakshade Raceway to win his first DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals feature. Mielke, of Gladwin, Mich., charged out to an early lead, managed to stay up front through two restarts, and powered his way to the $1,000 checkered flag ahead of wild three-wide action behind him. Jacob Poel, Collin Thirlby and Brian Ruhlman raced as a pack trying to run down Mielke but finished second through fourth, respectively. Matt Hamilton rounded out the top five. Moyer Jr. Wins DIRTcar Summer Nationals Finale at Oakshade, Pierce Youngest Champion in Series History

[xyz-ihs snippet="Horizontal-Google-Banner-Series"] WAUSEON, Ohio - July 11, 2015 - Billy Moyer Jr. needed a victory on Saturday night at Oakshade Raceway to have any chance of winning the DIRTcar Summer Nationals championship, so in the first half a lap he charged through the front row from his fourth-starting position and pulled away to win. The 18-year-old Bobby Pierce, though, became the youngest champion in the history of the series by finishing fifth, edging Moyer for the crown by a mere 10 points.
