Based out of Indiana, USAC features open wheel racing on a regional and a national level.  USAC sanctions sprint car and midget racing.  The USAC national sprint car traveling series gathers the most attention, as the drivers travel coast to coast in traditional wingless 410 sprint cars.  Many stars of nascar and indycar got their starts in usac racing such as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Kyle Larson.
