USAC's "King of the Wing" and Auto Value Bumper-to-Bumper Sprint Car championships debut this week after rains forced postponement of the openers last week in Florida and Alabama. Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola hosts Friday night's race and Saturday night's race is at Mobile International Speedway in Irvington, Ala. The 11-race KOTW series openers mark the first USAC appearance in Pensacola since Jimmy Knight's Midget victory 58 years ago and the first USAC appearance in Alabama since 1975. WEATHER FORECAST POSTPONES KOTW OPENERS ONE WEEK Weather forecasts for extremely wet conditions in the Southeastern United States this weekend have forced United States Auto Club officials and race organizers at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla. and Mobile International Raceway in Irvington, Ala. to postpone the 2015 King of the Wing/Auto Value Sprint car openers until next week, April 17-18. The Friday night, April 17 race will be at Pensacola, while Saturday's April 18 race is at the Alabama oval in Irvington.
